Finally Some Snow Pictures

A week ago today this is what we woke up to in the south!!! I was so excited I woke the children up so early and we headed out the door.
This is our front yard
The side yard

AM LOVED the snow. She loved making snow angels, a snow man, sledding, having snow ball fights, and of course eating it. I think she will be my child to love snow skiing and after college move to Wyoming or Colorado. On the other hand..WW not so much! he was like the child in the Christmas story. He could not walk in it and cried every time he fell in it. His face was so chapped and his hands were swollen! I guess he will be the one to stay in the south with is momma!

Bob loved the snow as much as AM!

This is our back yard

Look at the difference between AM and WW's facial expressions! HA!

This is our street

Our drive way
our house! Can you believe the snow....we were supposed to go to Mardi Gras but how could we leave this!

Guess Who Went Hunting?

Yep...she sure did and did a GREAT job. Her daddy said that she was so quiet and told him to sshh a couple of times. They even saw a momma and baby deer that she wanted to shoot! So sad! Anyway, I guess she is a natural and can't wait to go back!

Outdoor Inspiration

Sometimes I feel like my head is a ping pong table. Last week I obsessed over my children's room and now I am thinking about my spring project of a patio behind our screened in porch. Here are a few of my favorites. Some are realistic and are of course not....but a girl can dream!

A Few Valentine Crafts

We definitely enjoyed our three day weekend. However, I was on-call so we had to stay close to home. We decided to get started on some Valentine's Day crafts. I got both ideas from Skip to my Lou website. They have such cute ideas...anyway, we made heart shaped rice krispie treats in the morning.
Even though, AM was wearing a Christmas outfit she was most definitely in the Valentine's Day spirit.

Then we made homemade heart shaped stain glass...it was super easy and cheap. I had all the supplies at home. It does not look as cute as Martha's or Skip to My Lou's but AM and WW had fun doing it. Although, I do need to purchase AM some smaller scissors.

First, you make LOTS of crayon shavings...

Put it in wax paper and fold...

Then iron it for about a minute...

Then cut and hang with fishing wire or string... they look better in the daytime when the sun is shining through them...but you get the jist.

On another note, my husband said he was going hunting with a few friends Sunday afternoon and I asked nicely (of course) for him to put his clothes up that I refused for two weeks to hang up. I mean I wash them, fold them, and neatly place them right by HIS closet door. The least he could do is put them up right!! Well, as he was walking out the door I asked, "Did you hang your clothes up." He yelled as he was hopping in his car, "Yeah." So I went to his closet and this is what I found...

He forgot to hang up two pairs of pants and then I opened his closet door and WOW...he just threw it all on the floor...all I could do is laugh.

He Melts My Heart!

Last night I was doing my usual...laying down with this little man in order for him to go to sleep. I know that he is two years old and should be going to sleep on his own. But, last night we were snuggling and he squeezed my neck and said, "I luv you Momma" AHHH my heart melted and laying with him last night was soooo worth it!
